EXPLORE THE MOVIE SET & WORLD FAMOUS CATHEDRAL COVE Seen the trailer to Chronicles of Narnia 'Prince Caspian' and thought it looked a little familiar? That might be because the movie apadation of the CS Lewis classic was shot right here in New Zealand at the iconic Coromandel location of Cathedral Cove.

The ruins of the castle ' Cair Paravel' were based on Hereherataura Peninsula south of Hahei, while the golden sands and limetsone archway of Cathedral Cove feature prominently in the movie, the movie trailer and promotional material.

For those wanting an insight into the filming of the movie the Glass Bottom Boat and Hahei Explorer are now incoporating the movie sets into their regular tours of the Hahei coastline.
