Life in The Coromandel - COVID-19 Protection Framework

Destination Coromandel staff and trustees would like to acknowledge the challenging time the visitor industry is facing due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

With the fast-changing nature of this pandemic, it is our aim to ensure all our partners in the visitor industry are kept updated to help make timely and informed decisions. If you aren't receiving our updates, please request inclusion by emailing megan@thecoromandel.com

We recommend you sign up to your local council newsletters (Thames Coromandel and Hauraki) to receive important information regarding business support and events.

We appreciate this is an incredibly challenging and frustrating time. Please do not hesitate to contact Destination Coromandel with any queries or concerns.

Traffic lights

All of New Zealand will move to the traffic light settings at 11:59 pm on 2 December. The traffic lights (COVID-19 Protection Framework) protect Aotearoa New Zealand from COVID-19, while allowing vaccinated people more freedoms.

The Coromandel will move to Red with the rest of New Zealand on 24 Jan 2022.
