90 Minute guided walking tour. Departing twice daily from the Information Center. Cost is $20.00 per person. Bookings required. Suitable for all levels of fitness.
Our tour guides are locals who have a wide knowledge of the area and also have some colourful stories of their own to add to the mix. During the tour you will and learn about Tangata Whenua and discover the history of how Coromandel got its name. Why Kauri trees were felled , the uses for the Kauri gum, the great fire of 1895 and the gold rush.
