Hauraki District Council Concession Permits
All application forms can be found on the Hauraki District Website under forms, and are designed to help you achieve a safe and stress-free event. Hauraki District Council can talk you through what you might need, but make sure you contact them in the early planning stages. 07 862 8609
FORMS - Use of Land
For permission to hold an activity on a Council reserve or public place, the applicant should write to Hauraki District Council for permission to use the land. There is no application form.
FORMS - Liquor Licence
If your are planing on supplying alcohol for the purpose of consumption or sale, a liquor licence is required.
Wedding reception – When liquor is supplied by the wedding party and supplied at no charge to guests - no special licence is required. You just need to be ensure that there will be no breach of local bylaws ( liquor ban areas will require a dispensation) or the Summary Offences Act 1981.
FORMS - Food Licence
Food for sale by a for profit organisation at an event will require a food licence. Application form are available here.
Weddings and conferences are private function and are not classified as food for sale. No licence is required
FORMS - Traffic Management
If your event is on or adjacent to a road and it may affect traffic (vehicles or pedestrians) or if it requires a partial or full closure of a road there are procedures that must be followed.
A Traffic Management Plan is required when the normal traffic flow will be interrupted or there will be an impact on road users.
FORMS - Marquee Consent
A building consent maybe required for any marquee or other temporary structure.
Depending on the event ( ie music festival) a resource consent may also be required.
