Pauanui Market Day

Jan  each year

The annual Market Day at Kennedy Park in Pauanui is a fantastic way to spend the day, with entertainment for the kids, great food and coffee, and over 100 different stalls selling everything from arts and crafts to tools and clothing. Thousands flock to this event every year, and there really is something for everyone!

Whangamata Summer Festival Market

27 Dec each year

The Whangamata Summer Festival has been hosting this event for over eleven years. It is the largest market in the region and is a myriad of sights, sounds and smells with food, drink, craft, instruments, jewellery, fun rides for the children, and much, much more. The Craft Market day is hugely popular and is a fundraiser for our week long festival 27th Dec - 2nd Jan.

The Craft Market is attended by thousands of locals and holidaymakers and is set in all three fields of Williamson Reserve, just behind the Surf Club. There is sun and shade, parking and toilets and a cafe. What more could one want?

Tairua Food and Wine Festival

1st Sat in January
A huge celebration of food, wine, arts and crafts

The Tairua Wine and Food festival is a ritual amongst holidaymakers in the Tairua and Pauanui area. Over 10,000 people flock to the festival each year.

A huge array of food stalls, wine, beer, entertainment and of course stacks of arts and crafts stalls.

The event is the major fundraiser of the year for picturesque Tairua School - which sits on the Tairua Harbour and has a roll of just under 100 students - and is run completely by parents and kind local volunteers.

There are no dogs allowed at the festival since it is held on the school grounds and it is also a smokefree area

Hahei Market

The annual Hahei market in Hahei always has a huge variety of stalls, so come along and join the fun. The Market is the onlyfundraiser for the Florence Harsant Community Library, run by volunteers, for the community.
