Whangamata is a small beach-side town on the East
Coast of the Coromandel Peninsula which enjoys an influx of
New Zealand holidaymakers during the summer months.
The co-educational school is situated on the
edge of the town with extensive grounds, and is well equipped
with science labs, a gymnasium, swimming pool, drama room
and library. A comprehensive range of subjects is offered,
including core academic subjects as well as practical subjects
such as automotive engineering and building. Sports such as
surfing are a feature of the extra-curricular activities.
