Climate

The Coromandel is blessed with some of New Zealand's best weather, making it a year-round destination.

The climate and weather on The Coromandel, just like most of New Zealand, is very much governed by the mountains and surrounding seas.

The Coromandel is home to the Firth of Thames on the western side and the Pacific Ocean, which navigates the eastern coastline, while The Coromandel Forest Park and mountain range divide the two sides. It is not uncommon to have two different weather pattens from the west to east and north to south.

Temperatures in The Coromandel reach between 24 - 31°C in the summer months and average around 12 - 14°C in the middle of winter.
