The talents of young and old will be showcased when The Coromandel welcomes summer with a month-long festival extravaganza. Events in this years line up include Beside the Seaside, The Chocolate Festival, Coromandel Dive Festival, The Underfoot Gallery, Chocolate Body Painting Competition plus much more.
From November 23 to December 23, every town in The Coromandel will host a series of events as part of the Pohutukawa Festival.
Christmas Parades around The Coromandel
Santa is coming to Whangamata on Saturday 1 December, from 10am with a wonderful Pohutukawa Parade celebrating our kiwi summer. He'll then be heading to Whitianga the following weekend, 8 December at 10am before making his way to the Waihi Santa Parade at 1pm then reappearing at 2pm in Thames. His final Coromandel appearance will be in Pauanui and Tairua on the 15th December when he plans to catch the ferry at 10am.

NZ Handmade Arts & Craft Market
As part of the Pohutukawa Festival's Weekend in Whangamata, the inaugural NZ handmade Arts and Craft Market will showcase handmade arts & crafts. Set on Te Titoki Reserve right by the wharf there will be something for everyone.
