Cooks Beach is a 2 hour drive from the city and lies east of Auckland on the eastern shores of the picturesque Coromandel.

Coromandel boasts some of the finest beaches in New Zealand and Cooks Beach is no exception.

World famous Cathedral Cove is only a 15 minute drive away. So too is the natural thermal springs at Hot Water Beach.
The dramatic coastline is fringed with lush green bush and knarled pohutukawa trees renowned for their vivid red flowers over Summer.

Cooks Beach is and idyllic marine playground and is conveniently located within easy reach of amenities while still retaining it’s peaceful, relaxed atmosphere.

The 2 km long beach looks out over the islands of the Mercury Bay and is the perfect venue for a romantic beach wedding or special celebration.

The Cooks Beach Community Hall is ideally situated, only 300m from the beach and is the perfect location to retreat to at the end of the day with family and friends to continue the celebrations with food & refreshments.

Available for hire as a wedding and function venue with tables & seating for up 100 - maximum

Ideal to book as a back-up alternative venue for a wedding ceremony should the weather preclude an outside ceremony at the last moment.

Ranch-sliders lead out to a small sunny north-facing deck running the length of the hall

A perfect choice for a special occasion, birthday or anniversary celebration with plenty of guest accommodation available in the immediate area.

Allows the hirer the flexibility to provide their own food and beverages thus saving on retail mark-ups that other function centres would require.

Weekends –noon Friday – noon Sunday $350
Half Day – 7.00am – 12 noon OR 12 noon – 5.00pm $50.00
Evenings – 5.00pm – 1.00am $150

BOND
A bond of $300 applies to all bookings payable by cheque which will be returned to the hirer once the hall has been inspected after hireage & deemed to be clean & tidy.

HALL INVENTORY & AMENTITIES
Heating – the hall has 8 wall heaters which assist with heating on cold nights
Toilets – there are separate men’s and women’s bathrooms.
Tables & chairs – plastic chairs (81) wooden chairs (30) foldout tables (13 @ 2.4m 2 @ 1.8m)
Kitchen – the well equipped kitchen has a pie-warmer, stove, domestic sized refrigerator, fixed instant boiling water dispenser and a dish washer.
Cleaning equipment is provided
