Paeroa Historic Maritime Museum & Park

Paeroa

Housed in this historic building is one of the best displays of NZ and local maritime history including Captain Cook, The Northern Steamship Co, Naval displays and many scale replicas of vessels.

The Museum is open10am - 4pm every day.

Entry is $5 per adult or $10 per family. Emails can be sent to [email protected] group bookings are welcome.

We also offer paddle boat rides on the Tamati. The “Tamati” is a lovingly restored kauri paddleboat originally built in 1902 and rebuilt in 2001. It was brought up from Hari Hari, Hokitika to provide river cruises on the Ohinemuri and Waihou Rivers.

The grounds are available for private function hire, all year round and make an excellent backdrop for wedding photographs.

Self-contained camper-vans and tents are welcome
