Located in a converted 1916 Methodist Church, The Church Restaurant is a unique business situated in Hahei, conveniently placed near some of the most beautiful beaches in the country.

Chef and owner Nicholas Roberts has been at the restaurant since 2013, bringing a new flair and style to The Church - running an authentic tapas menu with strong influences from Italian and Middle Eastern cuisines, plus the obligatory Spanish favourites. There is also a strong "Kiwi" feel to the menu - with specialties of local shellfish, fresh fish and locally sourced meats, cheeses and vegetables.

The Restaurant has also operated for many years as a suburb function venue for weddings - both large and small. Either hire the whole complex, or have a small wedding on the gorgeous balcony surrounded by native bush. Nick has continued this tradition, as well as branched out to offer out catering services throughout the area.

The Church Restaurant works closely with The Church Accommodation - owned and operated independently, they are complementary businesses which work incredibly well together. The Church is situated ONLY 2 hours drive from Auckland, Tauranga & Hamilton - so come on down for a weekend and experience all that Hahei has to offer.
