Come for a scenic 1 hour train ride on this world-class mountain railway. A delightfully nostalgic journey from Waihi to Waikino (return) aboard an historic vintage train. The scenic 6.5km line takes passengers over farmlands, through cuttings hewn out of solid rock, over three bridges and affords great views of Ohinemuri River and the Karangahake Gorge.

Trains can be pre-booked for group tours and refreshments can be packaged with Waikino Cafe. The cafe provides delicious home-made food and beverages.
