Coromandel's Coastal Walkway, a hidden treasure
It's a walk that rivals any New Zealand Great Walk - but hardly anyone knows about it. Dramatic bluffs fall into crashing seas.

The Coromandel Coastal Walkway
New Zealand is well known for its spectacular day walks and The Coromandel is home to some of the best panoramic coastal views New Zealand’s north island has to offer. The Coromandel Coastal Walkway is one of my favourite short walks, with its spectacular views and a relatively easy hike to get to them!

The Coromandel: Art of the getaway
Ellie Hutchinson and her friend find wilderness and culture rubbing shoulders on a weekend in The Coromandel.
I don't ask for much in a short weekend getaway — sort me out with some bracing walks, a bit of art, stunning scenery, a few oysters, leaping dolphins and plenty of R and R and I'm happy. I found all of these in a 48-hour Coromandel break.
A family expedition
Undertaking the Coastal Walkway as a family excursion is a New Zealand Must-Do. Because of its rugged isolation, remote beauty and lack of distraction, the experience as a family is guaranteed to bond your group, making memories to last a lifetime.
