Hear it from a local

We love this place and we're sure you will too! From the 400km coastline that harbours golden sand beaches and rocky bays, pohutukawa tree-lined rural highways beside tranquil harbours and wild surging surf, to our forest park with its mountains, streams and waterfalls, we have walkways, cycle trails, and canyons to explore. We're open to the elements, and our volcanic coast tells the tales of our past. That's how we like it.

We're not shy to give things a go, to tap into our hunter-gather spirit and source nature's culinary delights. The land and the ocean inspire our creative juices and handcrafted materials, arts and products that reflect our DNA. You're welcome to join in.

We've got many a story to share, so let us help you plan your trip to The Coromandel and hear what we've got to say.

Come and stay and explore like a local... we'll show you why this place is good for your soul.
