Depending on the tides it can be a short walk across the sand flats. Access is from Long Bay Motor Camp, and  Public Parking is along the beachfront where there is also a camp store.

Take a walk around to Tuck's Bay and onto the Kauri Grove track and marvel at the native kauri at different stages of growth it is a beautiful and gentle walk in a perfect beach setting.
