Less than 10 minutes from the surf town of Whangamatā is the secluded coastal settlement of Onemana.
Expansive views of offshore islands, golden sand beaches and rocky inlets framed by pohutukawa trees are further enhanced by the sense of pure escapism. The only company you'll find here are a few locals, baches and native wildlife that have protected sanctuaries along the beach. Onemana is great surf spot, but don't tell too many. Fishing and diving is also great in the area and swimming is a pastime for all to enjoy.
If you're thinking about holding your wedding ceremony here, please contact Thames Coromandel District Council to find out more about any consent requirements.
SAFETY: Onemana Beach is patrolled by Surf Life Saving NZ in the summer only. Always swim between the flags. Check our local patrolled beaches https://www.safeswim.org.nz/
