Issued 28th Jan 2023 - The Coromandel has experienced a severe weather event, with a state of emergency declared on 3 Feb 2023. As a result, some roads have been closed (with alternative routes to be taken).

Some local DOC campsites are closed, and Te Whatu Ora Waikato advises everyone to not use coastal beaches, lakes, rivers and streams until at least 48 hours following heavy rainfall due to potential bacterial contamination.

Please take care in and around the region and keep up to date through the following agencies.

Wild Wood Mini Golf

This classic course is a go-to activity for groups and families, even the dog is welcome! Lots of new events and workshops that you wouldn't normally expect at mini golf.

New owners Darren and Krissy have updated a Whitianga classic for a new audience.  Darren is the 2020 mini golf champion of NZ, and he will be on the course every chance he gets in order to defend the title. So be prepared to bring your a-game.

Mr. Cooper the Golden retriever is not much of a caddie but he does like to steal mini golf balls.... all adding to the fun and inclusion at this park-like course.
